Charles Obe is a certified fitness trainer with the American Council of Exercise. He fell in love with fitness during his freshmen years in college. He later graduated with a BFA in Media arts and Animations in 2008. After graduating, he continued pursuing on his career path as an artist but also started helping others around him with their health goals. He later realized that the fitness industry needed more educated trainers who were passionate about helping others. This goal leads him to gain his certification in the Fitness Field. With many years of professional and personal experiences, he has made it a goal to educate on the importance of having great form, a well-balanced diet, an active lifestyle and a positive outlook on life. He took part in American Ninja Warrior season 5 (2013), attempted season 6 (2014), and then returned back for season 10 (2018). He continues to look for the next challenging competitions to keep him on his toes. This new goal has pushed him to challenge his mind and body. He continues to educate himself on the ever changing health and fitness industry while also making it a priority to lead by example. He recently added a Functional Training Specialist (ACE) (2018) to his title and also holds a Fitness Nutrition Specialist (ACE) (2016) title. He is currently training for another shot at completing all stages on American Ninja Warrior. Most of all, He has a positive attitude and continues to help his clients reach their personal fitness goals.

Training Outside the Box

Repetition: the act of repeating; repeated action, performance, production, or presentation.

Why most people lose interest in training and the influences a personal trainer can have on a client’s overall fitness goals:

I became a personal trainer for one reason only and that’s to help my clients reach their potential. I’ve seen many trainers lose the interest of their clients due to the repetition of workout routines. This is the main reason why I will never repeat a workout routine. Each workout is meant to be unique and challenge the limits of the client. My main goal is to always bring an idea to a client and allow them to take control of their workout(s). I’m just here as a coach and will always offer my knowledge but will never force a client to conform to them. Everyone has it in them to attain their goals as long as they are dedicated, disciplined, open to change, and persistent.

I am a big believer in leading by example and will never advise my clients to do anything I myself wouldn’t do. As a role model, I’m constantly challenging myself and always pushing limits so I can be an inspiration and motivate others.
